Our History Eduardo Scuotto was driven to settle in Irpinia by his passion for wine and his desire to experience cooperation between man and nature. His innate entrepreneurial and excellence-seeking spirit fueled his action giving shape to an important and recognized winemaking project. Here is how Tenuta Scuotto was set up, meaning quality and serving as a reference point for those looking for high personality wines.

our Philosophy Tenuta Scuotto aims to provide the market with products that are different, yet authentic expression of the terroir; products which are able to convey their unique identity when tasted. Each aspect of their production is characterised by respect for the territory, at the same time avoiding uniformity: limited quantity to achieve the best, attention to detail, selective harvesting done by hand and finally ageing. Our ambition is represented by the idea of matching Tenuta SCUOTTO's wine with a well-defined lifestyle – true pleasure implies no compromise on quality.

aroma

The scent of wine, or aroma, is one of the most important elements to be assessed in wine evaluation. Smell is among the best developed human senses, and it has really strong bonds with memory. Anyone can perceive an aroma, yet describing the impressions triggered by wine’s aroma requires technical skills and expertise. Such process implies assessing and expressing wine's intensity, complexity, and smell hints like floral or fruity notes.

The face

The label is the face of a wine, and the opposite is also true for our wine: the FACE is the label. Such connotative element is presented in various ways on our products, making our bottles unique and impressive. It was a relic, an artifac, it is now a symbol and a distinctive brand of the entire line of wines by Tenuta Scuotto. Its human features chiseled in stone add charm and a sense of history to your tasting experience.
